Ofsted approval for Devon’s SEND Written Statement of Action
More than £1 million is to be spent on improving special needs education in Devon. Devon County Council’s Cabinet approved the investment at its meeting on Wednesday 10 July.

Devon County Council’s deputy leader and Cabinet member for schools, James McInnes, has written to Education Secretary Damian Hinds on behalf of all the political parties on the council calling for more money for education.
All of the services supporting children and young people with SEND were inspected in December 2018.As a result, the Local Authority and NHS Devon were asked to make improvements. A Draft Written Statement of Action has been prepared to show how we will make these improvements.
