This course is suitable for staff and volunteers who work with children, young people, families and parents or carers where they are in a position to identify signs of parental conflict and where this is having a negative impact on lives child and young people. The training offer will raise awareness and develop skills practice for those working with parents continuously, who can influence the reduction in parental conflict.
This course consists of 3 parts:
1. Module 1 (e-learning package) Understanding parental conflict and its impact on Child Outcomes: How can I use the evidence base to support parent relationships?
2. Module 2 (Classroom based) Recognizing and Supporting Parents in Parental Conflict: Applying Knowledge, skills and techniques.
3. Module 3 (Classroom based) Working with Parents in Conflict: How do I support, refer or intervene?
To optimize the learners, experience each module should be completed in sequence. Participants will be required to complete module 1 e-learning element (approx. 1 hour) before attending the 1-day module 2 and 3 classroom-based session.
Failure to attend a booked programme or cancellation within 4 weeks of the classroom based programme will result in a reclaim of course costs of £90.00 from your organisation/service area.
