Free holiday time activities and meals for children aged 0 to 18

Children and young people are being invited to attend holiday-time activities, with free healthy meals, this Easter.

Devon County Council is coordinating the activity programme, working with activity providers in locations across Devon.

It’s part of a national, Department for Education-funded initiative to provide free activities and healthy meals during Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays, 2021.

Activities include a selection of sports, including rugby, football and netball; arts and crafts; music, drama and dance; scooting and skateboarding; orienteering and outward bound activities; cooking classes and activities; forest school and outdoor activities such as den building and cooking on an open fire; food boxes and activity boxes; and virtual online sessions.

Children and young people, aged between 0 and 18 and who are eligible for the free places, are being contacted by schools and support providers.

The full list of activity providers, location and times, and contact details for the providers in order to book places, are published on Devon County Council’s website.

The activities arranged for the Easter holidays are in Axminster, Barnstaple, Bideford, Bridestowe, Buckfastleigh, Chudleigh, Crediton, Dawlish, Exeter, Holsworthy, Ilfracombe, Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot, Princetown, Salcombe, Sherford, Tavistock, Teignmouth, Tiverton, Torrington, and Wembury.

Devon County Council is working with activity providers to make activities and meals available in more locations for the Summer and Christmas holidays.
