Libraries Unlimited launches Arts Award Discover at Home

Libraries Unlimited has launched Arts Award Discover at Home, an online resource of activities made by South West artists aimed at children aged 11 and under (or anyone under 25 with additional needs).

Arts Award Discover, is the first level of Arts Award, a set of awards for children and young people that gets them involved in and excited about arts and culture and celebrates their creative achievements.

Discover at Home enables children to be rewarded for the creative activities they enjoy. If young people would like to apply for an official Arts Award Discover certificate, they will need to complete one of the activities and submit evidence to Libraries Unlimited via the website. The activities on offer include puppet making, matchbox book making, recycled sculpture and many more.

Daniel Clark, Creative Director at Evolve for Libraries Unlimited said: “Arts Award Discover at Home is a fantastic way for children to be rewarded for the creative activities they enjoy. You can even get a certificate! At this time, it feels even more vital to highlight new ways to deliver the award remotely and engage families creatively online.”
