Multi-agency autism training opportunities

A new online autism training programme is now available for multi-agency practitioners working with young people on the autism spectrum.

Delivered by the Autism Education Trust, the Autism Awareness training is aimed at all professionals working with children and young people who would like to increase their knowledge and understanding of:

• the four key areas of difference when working with young people on the autism spectrum.
• know the importance of understanding the young person on the autism spectrum and their profile of strengths and areas for development.
• identify the key areas to help young people build positive relationships with staff, peers and people in their community.
• develop an awareness of sensory and communication differences.
